IntroductionRevolutionary Iran seeks regional primacy in the Near East.  Iran’s Shi’a government, frequently through Hezbollah, has systematically engaged the regions Sunni radicals to further its ascendancy. Tehran provided limited logistical, financial and training support to these Sunni militants insofar as Sunni radical operations corresponded to Iran’s national interests. The emergent relationship between Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas is especially noteworthy in its potential to turn Gaza into a genuine southern front against Israel.
