Authors noteIt is critical to note that there is a fundamental difference between the mainstream political right, which accepts democratic norms but may have political views that are traditional and even skeptical of the left on issues such as immigration, and the far right which rejects democracy. The groups this item focus on are far-right groups that reject democracy and use violence to intimidate the larger population. Additionally, the article focuses on the racists’ far-right. Not all groups that are on the far-right, such as anti-abortion groups, are motivated by racial hate, but are none the less terrorist groups because they use violence for a political objective.
