Rare Glimpse into a Boko Haram Kangaroo CourtAn undated, new, and very gruesome, Boko Haram 44-minute video emerged on the internet today (May 9th, 2014, under its formal name Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad and released by Kegabatar Muku Da) showing a huge crowd of heavily armed cadre gathering for a sermon, beheadings and festivities. Three captives are seen, including 2 Nigerian Police Officers (NPF) and a civilian, while a diatribe is given to a quiet, attentive audience. The video is rare for Boko Haram, who traditionally only posts self-promoting videos of Abubakar Shekau addressing members of his “yes man” Shura Council, because the video features Boko Haram fighters.
