“If the devil leaders of New York think placing me in [prison] will end the war, they are wrong; this is only the beginning.”Rehabilitation The words spoken by an inmate in Attica nearly twenty years ago to law enforcement and counter terrorism officials immediately after the first attack on the World Trade Center.  The individual’s name was El Sayyid Nosair considered by many to be the first foot soldier in the Jihad on America’s shores.  He was a member of a radical Islamic group called al Gama'at al Islamiyya (IG), founded in Egypt and who’s spiritual leader was Omar Abdel Rahman, the Blind Sheik.   Nosair along with Rahman and several others were later convicted for conspiring to destroy several other historical landmarks in New York in addition to the attack on the World Trade Center.  Nosair’s participation took place after he had been in prison for almost two and a half years.  How could that be?  Aren’t criminals,…
