Large OpportunitySochi is a resort city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It is located on the Black Sea near Georgia in the Caucasus Mountains. Sochi has a population of over 300,000 people, and a large influx of tourists. Sochi will host the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014, as well as the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix starting in 2014. Terrorism has been occurring on a regular basis in the Caucasus, and threats have already been made for Sochi when the Olympics arrive. Sochi should be considered a high priority area in regards to threat analysis.
