Although Thai authorities are very careful not to use the term "terrorism" about the Bangkok bombings, there are many notable anomalies to point out. First, no single group has yet to take credit for the worst bombing to happen in decades in the country. Each communication from Thai authorities is careful to describe the bombers as "foreigners." Mieraili's passport (above), was seemingly issued by the People's Republic of China, but it is worth noting that there are many counterfeit passports are part of the entire investigation. A total of eight people are now wanted in connection with the unprecedented attack while a further "two unnamed foreigners" have been arrested and are in military custody. We can assume that Yusufu Mieraili is one of the unnamed foreigners. This second arrest offers no more clarity about the real motives behind the bombing. For now, the most likely motivation comes from the Uighurs for extraditing 100 Uighurs back to China in June…

Groups and individuals included in TRAC's database range from actual perpetrators of social or political violence to more passive groups that support or condone (perhaps unwittingly) such violence. The spectrum of violence represented by these groups is vast, from Jihadists who bomb train stations to financial institutions that transfer funds. Some groups that originally engaged in violence but have since become legitimate political parties are included to provide historical perspective. TRAC is in no way attempting to determine whether groups or individuals are terrorists -- only to convey reported information about their activities and official State status. While TRAC attempts to ensure the accuracy of its TRAC database, the entries in the database are from numerous different sources. Hence, TRAC cannot and does not warrant the accuracy of the entries in its database.
