The Chicano Liberation Front was a Marxist-Leninist protest group active between 1970-75 before folding into the August 29th Movement. It's goal was to raise awareness of the Chicano underclass in California and discrimination in all areas of society. The group adopted the Communist manifesto Fan the Flames, which outlined steps for the revolution.VideoVideo: 2010 Interview Manuel Ruben Delgado Author of the book the Last Chicano . Manuel was one of the Leaders of the Chicano Movement at UC Berkeley in the Late 60s. and was a Key Figure in the Third World Liberation Front Strike at UC Berkeley as well and was also a Chicano Activist in East Oakland in the Fruitvale district back in the 60s .
