Jaysh al-Muwahhideen is an umbrella name for militant groups fighting to protect the Druze communities in collaboration with Syrian security forces. The groups are operating in the Jabal al-Arab (Mountain of the Arabs) area in Syria’s Suwayda area as well as Jabal al-Sheikh in Damascus/Quneitra provinces. The groups use defensive tactics to protect the lives and properties of the Druze communities.  Jaysh al-Muwahhideen groups refer to themselves as independent that will oppose “anyone who commits aggression on the Druze land of Jabal al-Arab- regardless of his/her affiliation”.
