Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan is an umbrella organization of various Islamist militant groups. Most, but not all, Pakistani Taliban groups coalesce under the TTP. The Tehrik-e-Taliban Islami Pakistan (TTIP) is a breakaway group of TTP. The TTIP is led by Commander Fazal Saeed Otazai aka Fazal Saeed Haqqani who is a leading Taliban commander of Kurram Agency. Fazal Saeed was part of the TTP-Kurram Chapter until differences cropped up between Fazal Saeed and TTP's central head, Hakimullah Mehsud, in June 2011. After separation from the TTP, Fazal Saeed tried to link himself to the Haqqani Network, probably to strengthen himself against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Islami Pakistan (TTIP), but the Haqqani Network refused to accept his merger into their group.
