Sharm el-Sheik and Dahab are two of the Sinai's destinations for tourists. The arrival of international hotel chains and the establishment of other ancillary facilities have created easy targets for terrorist attacks. In 2006 two explosions occurred in front of a bar and cafeteria while the third one occurred in front of a supermarket. The blasts killed 18 people, including 5 foreigners and injuring 87 others, among them 29 were foreigners. In 2005 three suicide car bombs exploded in Sharm el-Sheikh, killing 88 people, including 9 foreigners and injuring 110 others, including 20 foreigners. Al-Qaeda in Levant and Egypt (AJ) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
