Caucasus Emirate chooses a new leader to replace the death of Doku Umarov.  Aliasaskhab Kebekov (also known as  Ali Abu Mukhammad) is an Avar, not a Chechen. Chechens have followed non-Chechens in the past, but not very often, not very long, and not very well.  In the past, Chechens accepted leaders, even ones they might not individually like, because they were consulted in the process. Here, a leader was imposed, without consultation and without advice, and Chechens feel no compulsion to obey a leader they did not themselves choose.
