On August 11, 2015, the first reported case of a man admitting that he was directed by Islamic State to attack upon return was reported. The latest incident indicates an ever increasing probability that ISIS is engaging in direct instructions to individuals in executing attacks on European soil. ISIS focus on a near enemy in the Sham is showing a sign of diminishing the distinction between a near and far enemy, an enemy that must be attacked irrespective geographical distance.
