Anti-Balaka can at best be described as a combination of various militia groups with the majority of fighters being youths without any schooling, with some youths as young as ten. Increased levels of organization and access to more sophisticated weapons, coupled with high levels of intolerance towards Muslim communities within Anti-Balaka militia groups results in the concern of genocide violence in the Central African Republic.
