Oumar Diaby (39 - aka Omar Omsen) is the leader of a French brigade (Firkatul Ghuraba aka The Brigade of Foreigners) in Syria ligned to Jabhat al-Nusrah (JN).  Comprised of an estimated 80 fighters from France and Belgium, the brigade is reportedly based in the Latakia countryside. Diaby is infamous for actively recruiting French youth to join the jihad in Syria, relying on video releases that are posted on social networks.
