The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) in Myanmar claimed coordinated attacks on 30 police posts and an army base in Rakhine (Araka) state on 25 August 2017. Using "man-made bombs and small weapons," they destroyed bridges with bombs and burned down at least one police station. Twelve government troops and 60 militants reported killed.
