A speeding maroon Honda drove into a crowd of pedestrians in Times Square in Manhattan, killing one young woman and injuring at least 20 others just before noon on 18 May 2017. Four victims are in critical condition. Reports have tentatively labeled the act an accident and not a terror attack. The driver, Richard Rojas, who had previous arrests for DWI, ran over pedestrians for three city blocks.
