Since the start of the insurgency in Mozambique approximately 288 fatalities have been accounted for by the mediafax, including 148 civilians, 78 members of the Defence and Decurity forces of Mozambique and 62 Ahlu Sunnah Wa-Jamo/Ansar al-Sunna (Shabaab) assailants.
