On 08 July 2018, assailants attacked a border post at Guardimaou, north west Tunisia and close to border with Algeria. According to a TAP press release, the ambush took place between Esraya and the El Feidja Nature Park, north of Ghardimaou and south of Ghardimaou in Djendouba Governorate.
